Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information AI Help Guides ("we", "us") collects when you visit aihelpguides.online, why, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to a minimum: we do not require an account, and we do not sell personal information.
1. Information we collect
Page view counts
When a page loads, a small request to our own server records that the page was viewed. We store a running count and the time of the latest view for each page. This count is not linked to your name, email or account.
Chat assistant
If you open the chat assistant and send a message, the text of your message and the recent conversation are sent to our server so an AI model can reply. Our server passes it to an AI provider (currently Groq, with Cloudflare Workers AI as a fallback) to generate the answer. Please do not type personal, financial or medical details into the chat. Your recent chat messages are also kept in your own browser's session storage so the conversation continues while the tab is open; they are removed when you close the tab.
Technical data processed by our hosting provider
Our site is served through Cloudflare. As with any website, Cloudflare and our servers process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as your IP address, browser type and request details, and may keep standard security and performance logs. We do not use this to identify individual readers.
Messages you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to improve the site.
2. Cookies and local storage
We do not run advertising or analytics cookies. We store a few items in your browser's local storage to make the site work:

3. Third-party services
Some content on our pages is loaded from other companies, which may receive your IP address and browser details when your browser requests it, under their own privacy policies:
- YouTube (Google) for embedded videos. Videos load from youtube.com and Google may set cookies or collect data when a video loads or plays. See Google's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts for typefaces.
- Unsplash for some article photographs.
- cdnjs (Cloudflare) for some page scripts.
- Cloudflare for hosting, delivery and security, and for storing generated article images.
- Groq and Cloudflare Workers AI to power the chat assistant, as described above.
Outbound links in our articles lead to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices.
4. Advertising
We do not currently show advertising. If we introduce advertising or affiliate programmes in the future, we will update this policy and explain any cookies involved before they are used.
5. How we use information
- To show you the site and keep it secure and working.
- To understand which guides are useful, using page view counts.
- To answer your questions in chat and by email.
6. Retention and your rights
View counts are kept as long as the page exists. Emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, email contact@aihelpguides.online and we will respond within a reasonable time.
7. Children
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we limit what we collect so there is little to expose.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
